Cristen Conger
Maybe I’ll just keep in mind no British accent.
Molly Edmonds
But I love your British accent.
Cristen Conger
Molly, but Claire doesn’t.
Molly Edmonds
Who’s going to podcast divorce you? I guess she could, too.
Cristen Conger
All right. So thank you, Claire, and apologies to anyone who hates any vocal tics that we have. And, cheerio. That is one last one.
Molly Edmonds
All right, let’s start a reading list because those aren’t controversial. This is a reading list from Karen. And like many of our listeners and people around the world, she is working on Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy. It started with Girl with a Dragon Tattoo. And the last book just came out here in the US, The Girl who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest. She’s on that last book. She writes that she just finished Clown Girl by Monica Drake and writes intriguingly. "I will never look at clowns the same way again."
Cristen Conger
Oh, god. I don’t think that book’s for me. Clowns terrify me.
Molly Edmonds
She also read Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann. She also reads a lot of music bios, like Bowie: A Biography and Paul McCartney: A Life. She was trying to read the James Bond series, but finds the male characters views toward women and other races hard to read sometimes. And those are a few of her suggestions.
