‘We Dare’ Tries to Prove You’re Never Too Old for Spin the Bottle

Full disclosure: As a giant, giant nerd, I never played spin the bottle. I’m actually not sure whether spin the bottle is a real thing, or if it’s only something that happens in tween movies and Judy Blume novels. But spin the bottle and the juvenile appeal thereof is what I thought of when TechStuff’s Jonathan Strickland sent me a link to the video below. Warning: It’s safe for work, I suppose, but it’s suggestive. And awkward and embarrassing.
Ubisoft may have earned the wrath of gamers around the world for the company’s recent DRM policies, but its booth at E3 was packed with people smiling at what the company had to offer. Read about my booth visit to Ubisoft at the 2010 E3 conference.
While watching the live stream of CNET’s Buzz Out Loud podcast, I lost the ability to form a coherent sentence for about 10 minutes. That’s when I learned of Ubisoft’s new digital rights management (DRM) strategy for PC games. In case you’re not familiar with the term, DRM refers to any sort of copyright protection designed to prevent piracy. The hosts cited a story in PC Gamer (via Slashdot) about how the new DRM scheme affects Ubisoft PC games.
