The Consumerist, Consumer Reports’ ultra right-wing enforcement and social media faction, is running a post sent in from an eagle-eyed Consumerist reader. The reader, Trevor, noticed that in the product view of LEGO City Advent Calendar, Santa Claus appears nude. In addition to the kid playing his little angular drum set, the angular snowman, the angular fireplace and the angular Christmas tree and another, clothed Santa, there is also an inexplicable nude Santa Claus mini-figure.
At the time of this writing, the North America Aerospace Defense Command Santa Tracker Web site says The jolly old elf in the fur-trimmed red suit is doing his job in Mongolia. Daniel Terdiman wrote an article on CNET a few days ago about the technology that helps keep an eye on Santa as he makes his amazing journey around the world.
It’s been said that behind every great man is a great woman, and Santa Claus is no exception. In this episode, Cristen and Molly take a closer look at the women behind Santa Claus, from his oft-forgotten wife to his team of reindeer.
I don’t need to tell anyone who lived through Black Friday that Christmas is rapidly heading our way. This weekend, I overheard many children asking for a certain toy, only to be told that they’d have to ask Santa for the item. So how does a child go about doing so? I don’t know about you, but I’ve never trusted the North Pole workers who sit in malls. Yes, I know that Santa sent them, and they are his trusted emissaries, but I’d prefer my wants and desires to go straight to the big man himself.
That’s why I like to communicate in writing with Santa Claus. I figure my good penmanship and polite letter will help Santa remember that I belong on the “nice” list, not the “naughty” one.
