Ever since Fox news began covering the Wisconsin Protests, there has been consistent heckling whenever a Fox reporter does an on-the-scene report. The following video demonstrates the heckling, but around 2:30 it demonstrates something else: In the video, the reporter claims that he was hit. Is this true? The creator of the following video claims [...]

I had a pretty strange reaction when I first heard that FOX planned to move “Fringe” to Friday nights in January. I could’ve cursed a blue streak at my television, but instead I basically bypassed four of the five Kübler-Ross stages of grief — denial, anger, bargaining and depression — and headed right to acceptance. That didn’t really make sense: Why was I so ready to let go of one of my favorite shows so quickly? Then I saw the name of the first Friday episode and thought wearily, “Oh yeah. That’s why. They’ve done this before. And now they’re twisting the knife.”

It’s a good news/bad news kind of announcement: Fox is canceling “Dollhouse.” In spite of storytelling that picked up in the last half of season one, the show’s ratings have been poor, even with DVR results factored in. This probably doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone. As if reports that Joss Whedon would be treating the season finale as a series finale weren’t enough, the show went on hiatus during November sweeps — presumably so it wouldn’t pull down Fox’s average. Movie pirates pounced on the opportunity to view the film a month before its official release.

Some days it seems like the real purpose of the Internet is to provide a platform for power struggles between massive companies. Last year the big story was Google and Microsoft playing tug-of-war with Yahoo. This morning, the story is about The Walt Disney Company announcing that it will start providing short form videos to YouTube.

According to AP News, Disney has agreed to provide content to YouTube under an ad-revenue sharing agreement. Currently the company allows full episodes of its shows to broadcast on ABC.com, Fancast and AOL. But this agreement with YouTube only covers shorter videos and excerpts, not full episodes.

Earlier in the week, there were rumors floating around that Disney was in talks with Hulu, a popular video site. Hulu currently serves video content from providers like NBC Universal and Fox. Had the Walt Disney Company elected to move videos to Hulu, it would have created a more robust service.
