OK, it may seem a little far-fetched, but it appears that those of you who have videos that are taking off on YouTube might be able to cash in on their success. How? NPR ran a story on a YouTube video called “David After Dentist” — which Jonathan Strickland clued me into a few months ago — about a kid on his way home from the dentist after getting some work done. Apparently the medication hadn’t worn off yet, and he was a little loopy.

Some people found the video funny. Funny enough to be watched more than 28 million times, NPR said. So now Google, the parent company of YouTube, is running advertising alongside videos that are extremely popular, and the company is apparently willing to share the wealth with the video creator. If this is you, you could make some good money.
