This week on Stuff Mom Never Told You, Cristen and I took a head-to-toe look at the female body. We started with the face and a discussion of adult acne. Sure, we know that teenagers can expect some spotty skin, thanks to all those hormonal changes, but did you know that the trouble may not end? That stinks — there’s just no other way to put it. And bad news, ladies: Adult acne is more common in women than men. In exploring this topic, we talked a little bit about why acne can persist (or start up for the first time) in adult years as well as the stigma associated with having bad skin as an adult.
Hot date tonight? Male or female, you’re probably going to make shaving a part of your get-ready regimen. It’s so frustrating, though, to take time to make your face or your legs silky smooth only to battle razor burn when it’s all said and done.
Humans aren’t truly naked apes, but other primates put us to shame when it comes to body hair. Why? Tune in to hear Josh and Chuckle discuss the theories and hypotheses behind human hair growth and distribution.
