We’ve been wanting to write an article and podcast about the Tuskegee Airmen for a long time. It’s truly a topic worth waiting for. We framed it around Harry Truman’s executive order that desegregated the military because there was some politickin and controversy surrounding the order that really should be discussed. I’m looking forward to Red Tails, the George Lucas film that I mentioned in the podcast. The AP reports that the original Tuskegee Airmen wonder how the film, currently in preproduction, will tell the story of “their two historic fights — against Adolf Hitler abroad and Jim Crow at home.” You can read more about the film on its IMDb page.
