PopStuff Show Notes: Episode 2, Disney World’s 40th Anniversary
by Tracy V. Wilson | October 4, 2011
The Magic Kingdom, aka Walt Disney World, turned 40 on Oct. 1, 2011. The last time I went, I was five, but Holly goes all the time. So she took us all on a guided tour on what Disney World is like for grown-ups traveling without children.
This episode, at 37 minutes 10 seconds, is one of our longer episodes, just so you know.
PopStuff Show Notes: Episode 1, Time Traveling Through Fall TV
by Tracy V. Wilson | October 4, 2011
Our first episode, and it’s a bonus double episode! Before the fall TV season started (and before the podcast launched), Holly and I recorded an episode about all the shows we were excited about. But it took a little longer than we expected to start publishing the episodes, and we didn’t want to kick everything off with episodes that already seemed really dated. So, instead of trashing our original fall TV episode, we played it as is, and recorded what was basically a second episode to act as a bookend
Ever since we launched the FanStuff blog back in the spring of ’09 — and especially since it turned into the kind of two-person operation you can hear in most of our podcasts — the question we’ve gotten most often is when we’re going to get a podcast. I’m delighted to say that HowStuffWorks now has a pop culture podcast: PopStuff, co-hosted by me and Holly Frey. You probably can’t tell from my typing, but I’m basically beside myself with excitement. I can also anticipate a few questions, so here’s a PopStuff FAQ.
