You don’t have to read the tabloids to keep up with celebrities anymore! There are Facebooks and Twitters and all kinds of other things to let you, yes you, see into the inner lives of the famous people of your choosing. Now, it’s easy to start feeling like your favorite celebrities are your friends. We caution against that. Here are the names we dropped.
- Martin Landau
- Our delight at meeting celebrities who seem to be genuinely kind, gracious people, such as Neil Gaiman
- Agnes Scott College and Little Shop of Stories, hosts of Neil Gaiman’s not-very-long-ago Atlanta appearance
- Nelsan Ellis and “True Blood“
- Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day and not shoving things in their faces, please
- Eddie McClintock and “Warehouse 13“
- James Marsters and his ridiculous signing of a thing to Holly
- JoCo Cruise Crazy (the mythical boat of famous Internet people I was on)
- Ashley Eckstein and Her Universe
- Nathan Fillion and his appearances on “Buffy,” “Firefly,” “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-along Blog” and “Two Girls, a Guy and a Pizza Place”
- Carrie Fisher
- The Dragon*Con Walk of Fame and the dynamics therein
- Lori Petty and “Tank Girl“
- A final tip: Practice this line, “I love your work. Thank you very much.” That is what we say to the famous person we’re not sure what to say something to.
