Long eyelashes. Plump cheeks. Curly, blonde hair topped with a cheerful, yellow ribbon. These features belong to little Rosalia Lombardo, whose well-preserved frame has lain in Sicily’s Capuchin Catacombs for decades. In her tiny, glass-topped coffin, Rosalia looks like she’s sleeping, but she died nearly 100 years ago at age 2, and if you venture beneath the streets of Palermo to see her, you’ll also run into about 8,000 of her closest corpse pals.

It’s autumn, and the leaves are changing. What better time to hop on a motorcycle and get up close and personal with nature? This week on Stuff Mom Never Told You, Cristen and I talked about motorcycles and the women who love ‘em. The ranks of those women are growing — Harley-Davidson has launched an extensive marketing effort to get more women on bikes. Motorcycles have the reputation of being more of a boy’s toy, but in looking back through history, we found plenty of young ladies who were crossing the country via motorcycle.
