Now the XOS 2 exoskeleton is out and it is looking even better, using much less energy to accomplish the same tasks…

It feels like we are being bombarded by bedbug stories. Turn on the radio, open a magazine, walk by a TV and there is another new story about the bedbug invasion. Especially in big cities, and a lot of them are in hotels.

If you hear enough of these stories, you may get to the point where you are afraid of going to a hotel. You might also be worried that bedbugs are moving into your home. So what are you gonna do? How do you find out if you have bedbugs or not in your home or hotel room?

One thing you could do is build a bedbug trap…

You may recall the work of Johnny Lee with the Wiimote (and one derivative work) as seen in these three posts:

- DIY – a large touch screen

- Invention – head tracking in a video game

- Fake HDTV windows give you a great view that changes as you move around the room

Now Lee’s first idea has been translated into a desktop version, so that the computer screen is projected onto the surface of a desk using rear-screen projection. Then you write directly on the screen using an infrared pen rather than a mouse. You can see a demonstration here…

Glancing through the news this morning, I came across this report from the Associated Press. According to AP, the Obama administration is pushing for new regulations that would require any company that provides electronic communication services make those services easier to wiretap. It’s not that the government would necessarily be tapping more devices — it’s that those devices wouldn’t throw up roadblocks to make obtaining information more difficult.
