The Enneagram Personality Test evaluates a person’s character based on nine different personality types and a geometric figure called an enneagram. Molly, Cristen and a special guest take a closer look at the enneagram and the nine types in this episode.

As a boarding school alumna, I have an unhealthy love for the film “Dead Poets Society.” Maybe it’s because Welton Academy’s sprawling and picturesque grounds remind me of my own alma mater. Maybe it’s because I could relate to the all-encompassing control that the adults — parents, teachers, headmasters — held over the students’ lives and the way they ached to escape it. Above all else, though, I think it had more to do with a deep-down desire to have a teacher who’d rip the pages out of assigned textbooks and teach us how to speak our own truths. Or maybe we just wanted to jump on our desks and recite Walt Whitman until our throats throbbed.
At TechStuff, we’re preparing for our 200th episode and we’re getting excited. In the meantime, we published episodes 189 and 190 this week. Monday’s show was about the video game controller that shook up the industry just a few years ago: the Wii remote. On Wednesday, we explored the subject of cybernetics and asked ourselves if cyborgs were real or science fiction.
We run into all these different kinds of alcohol. Let’s look at the differences. First there’s the alcohol you drink, like whiskey, beer and wine. This is ethyl alcohol that is produced by yeast. The yeast eat some kind of sugar or starch and turn it into carbon dioxide and alcohol. In wine the process [...]
An attack by the 5th-century Sri Lankan King Kasyapa I’s armed men would have been frightening. But so would one by Sri Lankan honeybees — their stingers three times the length of their European counterparts.
Attacks of the latter sort have become a bit of a problem at the Sigiriya rock fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of Sri Lanka’s top tourist destinations.
Holy mackerel, people. What a crazy week it’s been here at the SYSK HQ. I can’t get into everything here, but let’s just say it’s been an exciting and terrifying time here for team SYSK. High Speed Stuff Wrap-up: Armored Cars and Road Construction
by Scott C. Benjamin | April 23, 2010
Well, it’s Friday once again. And you know what that means, right? It’s time for the High Speed Stuff podcast wrap-up! So let’s get this thing underway.
On Tuesday, Ben and I talked about armored cars. And while we started out with our focus on armored trucks, not military trucks, but rather the kind we often see in the city loading and unloading bags of cash and coins at local businesses, we eventually did bring the conversation back around to armored cars. Near the end of this episode, Ben even surprised me with a use for armored car technology that I hadn’t thought of prior to Tuesday. What exactly did he say?
