Blast from the past – Assembling and driving the Model T Ford

I saw one of these demonstrations where they put together a whole Model T Ford in about 5 minutes. In this video they take a little longer, but there is a nice commentary to go with it:

Now, 100 years later, cars are a lot more complicated. But they can still, amazingly, get hung up on the simplest possible things:

Toyota halts US sales of Camry, 7 other models

The Camry is the #1-selling car in America, and they have stopped selling them. All because of a sticky accelerator pedal – one of the simplest, most obvious parts of a car:

Toyota Motor Corp. announced late Tuesday the unprecedented sales suspension to fix gas pedals that could stick and cause acceleration without warning. Last week, Toyota issued a recall for the same eight models involving 2.3 million vehicles.
