Even though this world record attempt did not succeed, the attempt itself is the greatest car stunt ever performed, and therefore is probably worthy of a record in its own right. This is Ken Carter’s and Kenny Power’s attempt to send a rocket-powered Lincoln Continental across the St. Lawrence river – a total distance of a mile:
