Listen to High Speed Stuff on iTunes

Today, I think we’ll just jump right into a quick rundown of what Ben and I have been up to on our High Speed Stuff podcast over the past week. So, without further delay, here’s what you can expect to find on iTunes

We were both pretty excited to dive into Tuesday’s topic, notable movie cars. And once we got the ball rolling, we found it was hard to stop. Seriously. We had a tough time calling it quits on Tuesday and that’s why this episode is so dang long (but hopefully entertaining, too). In fact, why don’t you take just a few moments to think about every great movie you’ve ever seen? Maybe even think of a few terrible ones. I’d be willing to bet that in most cases, whether it’s a good film or a bad film, there are at least a few cars that made an impression on you. Ben and I had a fairly long list of our own favorites, but he came up with several that I thought were just great…some that I was completely unfamiliar with and others that I could instantly recall the very moment he mentioned them. It was a lot of fun. And that’s what I think is so great about this topic: everyone has their own favorite movies and everyone has their own favorite movie cars. It’s a seemingly never-ending discussion. So listen in to see if any of your top choices made the list. And if you can think of a few to add, send us an e-mail to let us know. We intend to read a bunch (if not all) of these on the air in an upcoming podcast. In fact, we’ve already received so many responses that it looks like we’ll have to dedicate a full episode to just reading the listener mail about notable movie cars. Should be fun!

By the time Thursday hit, we were ready to move on to the topic of in-wheel motors. What? You’ve never heard of in-wheel motors? Well, don’t worry. I’ve got to believe that a lot of people have never heard of these things. However, you can get a jump on everyone else if you read all about them on HowStuffWorks.com. And then, when you’re armed with new information, you can head over to iTunes to listen in as Ben and I have a little discussion about that very same topic. Now, I don’t want to give too much away here, but let’s just say that when a relatively new technology comes along, especially one that promises to do away with the engine and transmission (and more!) in a typical car or truck, we’re definitely interested. Again, I think you’ll enjoy listening to this podcast. If nothing else, at least you’ll come away from it knowing a little bit about in-wheel motors. Who knows? That information just may be of some value to you someday soon — that is, if they make it into production. Hmmm…maybe I’ve said too much?

So, we had a pretty good week — we were able to talk about our favorite movie cars and then in-wheel motors — what more could we ask for? Ben and I really enjoy recording our podcasts — it gives us a chance to mix in a little bit of fun with the rest of our everyday stuff that’s…well, let’s just say, some of it’s not quite as much fun. We hope you like it, too.

Anyway, that’s what’s happening on the High Speed Stuff podcast this week. If you’d like, surf over to iTunes and give it a listen. And as I mention every week: yes, it’s free. Just don’t forget while you’re there to take the opportunity to browse through some of our older episodes and give us a little feedback. You can also let us know what you think in the comment section below, or if you’d rather send us an e-mail, you can do that, too. Ben always reads the address at the end of each podcast.
