The Ferrari FXX made history this week on the show Top Gear by posting the fastest lap time ever. The fastest time had been 77.1 seconds (Gumpert). The FXX did the lap in 70.7 seconds:
This makes sense because the FXX is a race car rather than a street car. It is based on an Enzo chassis with a larger engine, better transmission and better brakes. Only 30 have been made.
