One way to create humor is to take some well-known event, person, place, story — some kind of cultural icon — and turn it around in a novel way. For example, if you like Star Wars, then this video is funny because of the way it combines Star Wars stormtroopers with the show Cops. It also provides a novel back story on events in the film:
