The 2011 Tesla S made its debut this week. This is the sedan that Tesla has been talking about ever since it released the roadster. Details are a bit scarce, but it looks good. What’s great about the following article is that all of the pertinent details are in the headline:

Although the “seats seven” makes you wonder. How is that possible? There are two extra kid seats in the back that face the rear.
This car contains 8,000 lithium-ion batteries (that probably look like this). They weigh 1,200 pounds and provide a 300-mile range. Recharge time is four hours. The battery pack costs about $5,000 and comes with a “7-10 year warranty”. Keep in mind that 10 gallons of gas weighs 62 pounds and “recharges” in about three minutes.
