Car Share Clubs Make Dreams Come True

by |

Can you picture yourself behind the wheel of some of the world’s fastest (and most expensive) exotic cars? Most drivers dream about it, but simply don’t have the cash to make it a reality. Is there a way to park a Lamborghini in your driveway for just a few hundred dollars each month?

It’s a safe bet that nearly everyone has spotted an exotic car out for a brisk weekend drive. The owner smugly grinning from ear-to-ear as he or she blows some of the dust off of that half-million-dollar toy. And why not? In most cases, they’ve earned it through a lifetime of hard work, diligent saving and shrewd investments. But is there a faster way? Is there a way that you can experience the thrill of driving the world’s finest exotic and luxury cars for a fraction of the cost of ownership?

A car share club may be the answer you’re looking for.

The idea is simple: With the purchase of a club membership, you’ll have access to a collection of the world’s hottest automobiles — at least the cars owned by the club of you select, anyway. Memberships run the full range from just a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars each month. And depending on your membership level, you’ll have a chance to schedule days (or even weeks) where you can enjoy your time-share car from the club’s collection. Some clubs even offer track days where you can test your driving skills on an actual race circuit. Car clubs like Exotic Car Share even throw a few Detroit muscle car classics into the collection for a little variety. Others, like the Van Horssen Group offer everything from the Smart fortwo Cabriolet to the Rolls-Royce Phantom and a wide selection of Italian and German sports cars in between.

Pricing and seat-times vary greatly depending on the club you choose to join, so it really pays to analyze the details of the contract. And, of course, each club promises a full investigation into your driving background, so make sure you have a squeaky-clean driving record or at least prepare to answer any questions that may arise.

A few last words of advice…never return your exotic in this condition.
