It’s in ’space’ like everything on the earth’s surface is in ’space’; it’s operating in a basically contained and stable atmosphere which is its normal functional medium. The claim for any surprize should have been made about it functioning in a ‘free fall’ environment. Throw it outside the capsule and see how it really functions in ’space’.

This is almost as bad as the story about the ‘pixie dust’ restoring the “severed” (nicked at the tip) finger. Following the absurd exaggeration of that story, a razor nick while shaving is tantamount to decapitation. ;^)
